Contractor FAQ.
Everything you need to know about joining the Property Claim Guide marketplace — signup, verification, lead matching, plans, and policies.
01 — Getting started
Signing up & verification.
How do I sign up as a contractor?
Visit the contractor signup page and complete the registration form. You'll need your company name, business phone, primary ZIP code, email, and a password. Select the trades you provide and submit. It takes about 2 minutes.
Is there a fee to join?
No. Creating an account is free, and you start on the Free tier. Paid tiers (Pro and Elite) offer additional lead volume and placement benefits. Payment processing will be available in a future update. You will not be charged until you explicitly authorize payment.
What is the verification process?
After signing up, your account status is "Pending." We verify your licensing, insurance, and trade fit before marking your account as "Verified." Verification typically takes 1–3 business days. Verified contractors appear in public search results and receive lead matches.
02 — Leads & matching
How leads work.
How does lead matching work?
When a homeowner submits a damage assessment, we match their damage type and ZIP code against your registered trades and service area. Matched leads appear in your dashboard with damage type, property type, affected areas, square footage, severity score, urgency level, and cost range.
Are leads exclusive?
Leads may be shown to multiple verified contractors whose trades and service areas match. The first contractor to claim a lead gains access to the homeowner's contact details. Lead claiming is available to verified contractors on active paid tiers.
How many leads will I receive?
Lead volume depends on homeowner submissions in your service area and the trades you cover. Free tier contractors see up to 5 leads per month. Pro and Elite tiers receive higher lead limits and priority placement. Property Claim Guide does not guarantee specific lead volume.
How do I claim a lead?
From your dashboard, view your matched leads and click "Claim" on any lead you want. Once claimed, the homeowner's name, phone, and email are revealed. Each claim is logged in your account.
03 — Plans & billing
Pricing tiers.
What plans are available?
We offer three tiers: Free (up to 5 leads/month, basic profile), Pro ($99.99/mo — up to 30 leads, featured placement, priority routing, 1 boost/month), and Elite ($199.99/mo — unlimited leads, top placement, first-priority routing, 3 boosts/month, dedicated support, analytics).
When will payment processing be available?
Payment processing via Stripe is in development. You can select your preferred plan now to save your preference. No charges will be incurred until payment integration is complete and you authorize the charge.
04 — Account & settings
Managing your profile.
Can I change my trades or service area?
Yes. From your dashboard, go to the Profile tab to update your company information and trades, or the Service Areas tab to add additional ZIP codes. Your primary ZIP from signup is always included.
How do I reset my password?
From your dashboard, go to the Settings tab and use the Change Password form. Enter your current password and a new password (minimum 12 characters, must include a letter and number).
Can I delete my account?
Contact us at [email protected] to request account deletion. We will remove your profile and associated data within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.
05 — Policies
Terms & support.
What are the terms for contractors?
Contractors must agree to our Terms of Use, which includes a Contractor Agreement section. Key requirements: maintain valid licensing and insurance, do not resell or misuse lead data, do not submit false credentials, and comply with our acceptable use policies.
Who do I contact for support?
